Maca is a highly nutritious food, super-loaded with a variety of micronutrients. It contains carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins –like B vitamins-, calcium, fatty acids, fiber and lipids, as well as iodine, anticancer compounds and important minerals, such as iron, magnesium, calcium and phosphorous and 18 amino acids, including 7 of the 9 essential amino acids.
